As mentioned by others , flying , like drinking etc etc will most probably only make CH which is already in cycle worse .
Since the pain occurs when the vains are dilated , then air pressure should also play a role .
When flying in pressurized plane , pressure is never exactly equal to that on the ground , it's a little less , so less pressure means an expansion of all vessels .
Have you tried opening a bottle of cream on plane while in flight ??..Or have you ever had your watch glass pop out ??..
Maybe some capillaries in our face can manage to dilate and even burst while in flight , also high altitude . While I was in the mountains this summer in Europe , I thought I'd die from the pain

I was at first attributing it only to the humid climate . But I guess it's not only that .
One more thing added to the " Don't do " list .
