I am 53 and started at 15. In the early years the attacks were short, lasting usually half to one and a half hours. As the years went by they changed and now when I have a cluster ( I've missed two seasons as I speak- maybe I've come to the finshing post!) they tend to last three or more hours, twice a day. The last bout was the worst I've had, but I am fortunate in that after four to six weeks I'm free for at least a year. I've learned from this site that the variety of ways the thing gets us is huge, and people's reaction to treatments varies, and also that when I thought I had something that can be appallingly bad to cope with, others humble me by living with much more frequent or long lasting clusters.
Best wishes- John D.
