This is a sad situation. Your school sounds like a very student-unfriendly place.
Perhaps you could have 'the authorities' read this forum as well as the cluster headache homepage
and any other sites that my enlighten them about what it is that you are suffering?
Perhaps if they understood your pain and the need for immediate treatment they may find
it in their hearts to allow you special permission to leave class at any time in order
to attend the nurses station and receive adequate treatment with injectable imitrex.
I live in an area where all the school staff are concerned about the wellbeing of all
the students. Your school sounds like the military.
Is there one school staff member who might represent you on this? One teacher who would be willing to spend the time to read all the information and see that there are even medical doctors who are suffering this affliction without cure? One teacher who you
trust to share the truth with? It might help to have someone on staff who could be educated
about the hell that this monster puts us through and could put it in proper perspective for the
other staff members to understand.
It is absolutely ridiculous to have them think that you may wish
to inject imitrex for the sheer pleasure of it.. recreational use of
imitrex.. that is really funny.
I wish you better communication with your authority figures and i hope
they can understand your situation. We are here for you, even if they
aren't.Please let us know how it is going.
Your cluster buddy,
Brian W.
