rick, i usually stayed on it until i had no headaches for about a month. then i would cut down gradually until i was off. but your dr. is the best one to ask about that! i'm going to see if dr. sosa is in my provider directory that i have to choose drs. from. the new neuro. i'm going to is not working out. i told him the depakote isn't working, he wants me to try it for three months! then his nurse tells me he's real strict with the imitrex, eight a month! hell i'm getting 90 ch's a month! when i told her i was taking one imitrex a day, she was shocked. i told her about people here who said their drs. tell them to limit it to two a day, and she was dumbfounded. just doesn't sound like a sympathetic practice to me. i want to go on the verapamil , depakote combo again, or something new. i may have to find a new neurologist. later, harley
