As many of us know through Dr. Goadsby's research, it seems our malady may lie somewhere in the hypothalmus. In the July issue of Discover magazine, there are two very interesting articles you may want to check out. One is on the inner workings of the hypothalamus and new research being done on that part of the brain. The other article concerns advances in migraine research. It seems that the migraine's origins may be in the meninges(sp). This new research also contradicts the long held belief that severe headaches are vascular. So it seems more proof is mounting for physical abnormality versus just hormonal imbalance. Check it out.
