I've been reading about everyone struggling and I feel compelled to share this info:
Prednisone - your heard all about the horrible short term and long term side effects it can have.
However, if you are near the end of your rope I strongly urge you to try it. I have had excellent success with it. It is the only Rx that consistently, year after year will give me relief (generally either preventing them altogether or at least greatly reducing the number of headaches per day.) While I'm on the prednisone it gives any new meds that are being tried time to get into my system.
Although when I was on it for 1-1/2 years of every other day treatment (nothing else would work), my face got very puffy and I gained quite a bit of weight, I had no other noticable side effects. Not everyone will be this lucky, but it has served me well. Just a thought...
