Cafagot PB supp. were taken off the market, but I managed to get a few boxes (or rather my pharmacist did for me). Got a scrip for Ergcaf pills. They make me sick at my stomach, but am trying them with a big dose of dramamine. They seem to work pretty well, if I get to it soon enough.
I don't care for the feeling I get with Imitrex, but keep it on hand for emergencies (can't take ergotomine and Imitrex at the same time or within 24 hours of each other - ok, I have, but it's not real smart to do).
I've never had any side effects with Cafagot PB. It just worked and yes, I've overdone it, but that's just something I'll chance to keep from hurting. I've never had a problem quitting it when the HA was gone (so I don't think the phenobarb was addicting as long as the pain was chronic). Heck, my circulation wasn't the greatest in the world BEFORE CH, so I can't even tell if that's changed.
I will make a suggestion - Eckerd Drug (in my area and I'm sure other drug stores have them also) has a book called "The Pill Book". Spend $10 and get one. It lists most Rx drugs and their side effects, etc. It's a really good idea to know what you're taking and what to watch for in case you DO have a reaction. It also has what NOT to take together (that could be a lifesaver).
Hope you find something that works.
