I was wondering the other day why this cycle seemed so much worse then my last cycle when the frequency and the intensity of the headaches have been the same. The conclusion that I came up with is the DRUGS!
My first dr. was unfamiliar with clusters but very supportive so he researched everything and was very cautios with what and how he prescibed things. Although we never quite hit the right dosage of meds to prevent the ha's, I got through the cycle the same way I went in.
My dr. now, (god love him anyway)has given me meds to prevent the ha's but I have had such extreme side effects that I often wonder if just living through the pain is better. (mind you the ha's come back and I wish I had the meds again).
I might even have permanent damage to my knees, I am not sure yet!Anyway, you are right, the treatments are often dangerous but the sad thing is even though the dr tells me to only take 2 imitrix injections daily, when that Demon comes, i'd go for the 5th.Sorry to ramble,
