Cat and MRI are really meant to rule out anything organic (brain tumor, aneurism, etc that may be going on), and I think it's a worthwhile step to take before diagnosing you as cluster/migraine. I guess I'd want to make sure that it wasn't something like that first, just to rule it out. I think that you'll find many suggestions for treatment options here, amongst the people who have been the guinea pigs already. Took my gp almost 11 years to diagnose as a cluster type h/a rather than pure migraine - the treatment for each is very different. During those 11 years, I think - (like a lot of folks) thatI've been on every drug known to man - but each person's body chemistry is different - so what works for one may not work for another. I think you'll see here some common denominators, however, to start treatment. I hope you find relief - but you'll certainly find support - which helps a great deal. Best of luck to you !!
