I have suffered from cluster headaches for 28 years. My Mother had them. She "outgrew" them when she was in her early 40's. I'm 46 and still having them so it doesn't look like mine are going away. The only thing that I've found that will get rid of them is oxygen. You will have to have a rebreathing mask and turn the oxygen to 7 liters. The headache will usually begin to subside in about 10 minutes. It's still bad, but at least you know that is help on the way. I also take Sansert during a cycle and have had good success with this drug keeping them at bay. My neurologist has also given me Migrainal (a one time nasal drug) to try when I get a headache away from home. He said it's new and may help. I haven't tried it yet. I have just bought a computer and am so excited to have a place to share my thought and find other people's thoughts on this "demon".
