Spinal CAN give you a headache, not always. Anytime you puncture the spine you run the risk of creating a leak and therefore the brain does'nt always get the correct amts of fluid creating an imbalance and pain. Learned this while MD's tried to cure my headaches prior to CH diag, I underwent a Spinal Blood Patch, that is when they inject your own blood into your spine to make a seal on a suspected leak. Women who have c-sections can often get "spinal headaches", it is a bizzare procedure...I lived it, having had my spine punctured to collapse my brain during brain tumor surgery months earlier.
