Guess I'm older than the rest of you, but I DON'T care if people see me in the middle of a HA. I have them and I get bad - end of story.

Luckily I am the CEO of my company, but over the years I've had them when I was with a client and it's amazing how tolerant people can get when they actually see your eye swelling and you hitting on your head and having to stop and take a shot.

Over the years, my clients, competitors, docs, and a few assorted strangers have brought, sent, or called in anything they've read, seen or heard about "migraines" or clusters to me. I'm in a small town (5900) and most of the town is aware of CH by now.

For years I've worked around the HAs, but after I went Chronic, I finally had to quit going to the office because I just couldn't handle it. Since that time, I've done what I could to keep the old mind working, and am getting better now and hope to return to work soon.

I really think the thing that is hurting us in the employment field is PRIDE (I've heard this really often on this board). We're afraid for people to see us having a HA. My question is, If we were crippled, would we not go out because of crutches? Same difference.

Once we quit being ASHAMED of being ill, maybe we'll let people see how much we're suffering and they'll be more supportive when we have to take off.

But as D. Miller says, That's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

Hugs BD
