2 of 'em. first the one that bears repeating - to keep it on the main page for visitors, unfortunate new arrivals and supporters. water water water ... to coin a phrase ... heheh. Margi speaks for many of us when she encourages hydration.
drink an average 8 ozs (1/4 liter?) every 30 minutes. when you're attacked, drink 8 ozs right away, then as soon after that as you can (i personally find that cold water works better to abort). it is not a universal success, but many have found it reduces the CH peak pain level a few points on our adopted "Kip"-scale.
now for those of you who've had it with my neck muscle thing ... hit the "back" button now :).
the second broken record is actually a question ... ok, two questions. premise: i believe (correct me if i'm wrong) Professor Goadsby found that the grey matter around the hypothalmus - rather than the hypothalmus itself. so it appears to me, in that case, that the hypothalmus may be the "victim" here. the circadian nature of CH is undoubtedly rooted in the hypothalmus/pituitary system, as that is the body clock mechanism. first question: could the hypothalmus be aggravated by (pressure from, maybe?) the increased grey matter causing the circadian disfunction? second question: might the increased grey matter be like the increased ankle matter you get when you sprain it (e.g. instead of "more" grey matter - maybe a swelling of the brain tissue?) ok, three questions: could the neck tightness, strain, soreness, etc. some of us seem to have represent a malfunctioning neck muscle that's pressuring the brain tissue making it swell and aggravate the hypothalmus?
don't yell at me ... i did warn you :)
