It has been a long time since I visited this message board. How strange that the enthusiasm generated by the suggestion of a convention should be countered by glimpsing what appears to be a difficult situation for you. Over the past year, my CH's have been worse than ever. However, on one particular day, I shuttled between two hospitals. At the first, I visited my father who was suffering from a tumor that was breaking down his carotid artery. At the second, I witnessed the ultrasound of my second child. Since that day, my father passed away (bled out) and my child has continued to grow and appear healthy. Which is real? They both are. Your friends are real as are those callous enough to send hurtful email. I deeply appreciate anyone who reaches out to help others, especially because reaching out requires risk. Regardless of what you decide to do, it sounds like you have many solid friends here and are engaged in a worthwhile cause. Thanks for your efforts and selfless caring for myself and the other CH sufferers (and their families).
