Danny, You obviously did not have cluster headaches. You had tension/stress headaches. I'm glad that you found relief. However, your advice to just "chill out" is ridiculous as far as clusters go. If you ever had CH's, you would know the intensity of the pain and that it is not very easy to just "Chill out". I have tried yoga, meditation, and other forms of relaxation therapy and guess what? I have been chronic for 17 months now. I am detecting alot of anger in your messages, which indicates to me that you are not very chilled out. So that brings me to question if you have suffered from headaches at all. I believe if you had ever sustained anything even remotely close to a cluster headache, you would not lash out at those who seem to be dumbfound by your "cure", instead you would gently try to reiterate or, in detail-explain-calmly. I have attempted to chill as I write this letter, as I am completely pissed at you this very moment. You may call me defensive, but when you use terms like "waller in self pity" and "poor old me" it shows that you are looking for trouble. Do us all a big favor: go find a WWF or WCW website to attack people on. You are attacking people who are already dealing with more than they can handle. The pain alone is enough to drive a person over the edge, but its affects on your life are devastating: people here are losing jobs, losing families, losing homes, and just short of losing thier minds. This is a support group, and if your not here to support or encourage, then you are here for one thing and one thing only - a fight. Please go fight someone else. You see, this is not a "I need to lie down" type of pain, it is a "piss you off-ready to kill" type of pain. I think if you took one look at someone who is suffering from this while it is happening, then you would have a clue of the torture we endure, and if you have a heart at all, it would shatter to see someone in that much pain. I have had these HA's for 12 years now, and have done so much research, I have a better grasp on this condition than most doctors, and I am here to tell you - clusters are not stress related, so "chilling out" is not an option as far as a cure goes. But alas, I have taken too much time to write this letter, as you will probably read as hostile, while I am writing it to educate. Please do not post another anger-filled venomous message on this board. It only proves that you have not chilled and therefore leaves me to question the validity of any of your statements. We have a right to question anyone who claims to have the "Cure" as all of us have made the medical community rich off of our suffering. I going to sign off now and "chill", after all, the people on this board are more than just my fellow sufferers, they are my "family". With that said, I'm sure you would feel pretty defensive if someone attacked your family. Do us all a favor and prove your theory - Chill Out!
