Sounds like your Neurologist is unfamiliar with CHs. I've had the same type so I sought out one who was informed and knew how to treat clusters. I was able to obtain free meds through Vocational Rehabilitation in the blue pages/business pages. But I am sure there is this service in youir area. It took a while, but was sent a form(s) to apply for Patient Assistance/ Indigent Patient Program. They base eligibility on income and need. Also, some Physicians have their own assistance program. If only I had discovered this 10 years ago, dammit. Ask your doc they don't know your financial status. Mine was unaware that I had no coverage and payed cash. Some have samples; this can help supplement the cost. Otc's never worked for me,but I am going to try the water method myself. One more thing that works( and this sounds redicules ) is to inhale cold air from my freezer. I got the idea from a book that found air cooled to 42 degrees and inhaled for 15-20 min. Is as effective as oxygen
Good luck david chalfant
