Hi Karin, have read a couple of your posts now and dedided to comment on the "male" headache concept,,,,,,I TRULY believe that we as women have been misdiagnosed as suffering from migraine for more years than I care to think about
it's fairly obvious to me just by the amount of women on this site that a great many of us do suffer with these horrible headaches,., I have had them for over 13 years and was initially diagnosed by a "nuerology specialist" as having
migraines,,,,then I was told I had trigmental neuralga, etc.... told it was stress,.,, told it was just about everything you can think of but what it really was,,,,it took 6years and more MRI's CT scans,,,x-rays than I care to think about
before I finally found the right doctor that knew immediately what they were,,,more offensive to me than having it be called a "male" desease is when women that suffer from migraine "assume to know" how bad the pain is,,,,I just want to scream
at them that they have NO IDEA what they're talking about,,,however, it doesn't do any good as we all know from here, if you haven't experienced it there's just no way to make someone else understand.
Sorry about rambling,,,,just wanted to let you know that here's one more female you can count.
