I know that Elaine has already posted regarding our dinner, but I just wanted to throw my two cents in. First I want to say thank you to Elaine for taking the first step and reaching out to those of us in Georgia that suffer from Chs. She took the initiative to send all of the people in her vicinity a letter. I think this is a great idea and would encourage others to give it a try. It is a great way to meet new friends and have someone to lean on while battling the demon.
From the moment I saw her, there was an instant connection. The first time you look someone in the eyes that has suffered the same type of ordeal that you have, it can be pretty emotional. The only thing I could do was give her a hug. Elaine, Buddy and I had a wonderful dinner together. We talked almost nonstop about our experiences, experiments and just life in general. It was the most fun I have ever had discussing Cluster Headaches.
It was such a wonderful feeling to finally meet someone else that could say, "I know exactly what you mean." I know now that I will never be alone again in my fight against the demon. I really encourage others to give it a try.
