See my post in "went to the doc". Forgot to mention there that DHE45 is now available in a nasal spray which should work very quickly to give relief. Cost is a problem and, once a vial has been prepared for use, any remains are to be discarded in 8-hours. Bummer.
Ergotamine used to be available in an aerosal spray but 3M too it off the market several years ago. I'm checking with friends in Canada to see if it's still available there--used to be my source. If you have not tried the sublingual tabs of ergotamine, give it a try. The trick is to start using it at the very earliest signs of an attack.
Tiredness! I tried the pacing bit but it made the pain worse. Sitting quite upright is my response and then I often fall asleep for an hour after the pain eases.
