It's an injection that pain clinics and other pain related clincs. it is made up of lidocain and given as a local anesthetic into the Sympathetic Nervous System. i think that it is used to treat pain of shingles and reflex disorders of th SNC. I remember reading that adrenalin is administered to enhance the effectivenes of the shot . Um, The shot is given in the neck and spreads to your arms head etc.
there are a series of shots given over time ,but the are not always effective for advanced stages of Reflex Sympathetic disorders.
I have not read any thing about this injection being used for clusters or migrain headaches. You might find more info from a headache clinic or a neuroligical site. Sounds Like a possibility to treat clusters, but aneedle in the neck? OUCH!
Sincerely, David
