I went three years since the last full blown cluster
cycle. I believe mine start during a combination of allergy
season (I usually get bad hay fever) and during stressful times.
In the last few years, I've had a doctor prescribe Meprobamate
(Equanil/Equagesic). It is a mild tranqualizer. I take it in the
mornings for a couple of weeks when I feel the attacks creeping
in on me. Sometimes up to 3 times a day if the pre-cluster attack
sensations are increasing. It may be worth a try. Best of luck to
