Hi,
Well, I've never been brave enough to back into a cold shower. In fact, I get as little of my body in cold water as is possible. I arch my head forward into the stream and let the water hit the back of my head and neck with my face facing the floor. It does stretch out my neck muscles (and puckers everything else!).
