My wife tried Maxalt, but it was weird. It would bring the cluster down 1 or 2 notches, after about 15 minutes, but the pain would go right back up and past where it was withing another 10-15 minutes. You can't take another one for at least an hour, since they are bad on the heart, so her doctor had her wait an hour, take another, wait an hour and take another. After the 3rd, which is all you can have in a day, her head was just worst than when it all started. Bummed us out real good. Hope you have better luck. Maxalt was made for migraines, but has had limited success with CH's.
