I'm 40yrs old and have suffered with ch's since I was
a junior in high school, approx. 23yrs.
I have tried many therapies and have been to many doctors. I finally found something that worked!
A medication called Sansert seemed to do the trick.
Not only did it stop the headaches, it kept me from
getting them at all. I took it 3 times a day everytime I started a cluster cycle, for a period of usually
6 weeks. There were many potential side effects from
Sansert, but only if you took it for a prolonged period
of time. But...during my last cycle, while taking the
Sansert I began having bi-lateral flank pain around my
kidneys. I informed my neurologist and he immediately
took me off the Sansert saying it can cause a problem
called retroperitoneal fibrosis. So now I'm waiting
for my next cluster cycle to see if there is something
else that may work. I'm really dreading this waiting!
