I'll start wih the disclaimer like everyone else , but from what you describe , seems like it is just that ..CH .
If I were in your shoes , I'd go to the GP and ask to see a neurologist ( he'd probably suggest a CAT scan first ) . A good one too . Maybe one who is old and grey . Or not . They can be grumpy sometimes :)
CAT scan = you lie on hospital bed and they flash a cat in your face . ...miiaow....!!!
I don't know which part of the country you are from , but the way things work in Canada , with our free medicare system , you have to see your GP first before being able to go to a specialist .
I'm sure you know about the do's and don'ts when you are a CH sufferer .
I haven't tasted alcohol for the past 3 months now . With the advent of the summer season , I bought three crates of beer and they're still sitting there . I think I'll give them away .
NO ALCOHOL whatsoever , !!!!
The first course of treatment seems to be Ergotamine at first . Maybe also Prednisone ( corticosteroid ) .
The ergotamine ( aka Cafergot ) no longer works for me .
Right now I'm on Verapamil and tapering off prednisone . It seems to be working , but from what I hear from some of the others , it may not be so effective all the time for every one .
But , the most important of all . Is THIS SITE .!!! ( thumbs up DJ )
It has helped me, and everyone here were so helpful in responding with their exeperiences , that I believe it is now my turn to help out .
Mine started when I was roughly 17 and now I'm 27 .
Don't worry pal , you'll be OK .
p.s. Don't stare at the screen , turn your monitor to an angle so the rays are not directly in your eyes . And , turn down the brightness and contrast to minimum . You can try to wear mirror shades while in front of monitor.
