DHE-45 given IV /8hrs will sometimes (most time) break a cycle. It can also be given IM (if you can get someone to give it to you or give it yourself). It's very caustic and IV burns your veins. Hep lock has to be move at least every 3 days. IM it hurts like hell. I mix it with phenergan and it feels like battery acid going in (and shot don't bother me much). You get knots on your rear (and don't let anyone tell you to put it anywhere except your rear or veins (have used it in my legs some, but it leaves knots and they don't go away).
Migranal is a nasal spray and it works pretty well except it's not meant for long term use. Just accute attacks (don't know why that word bothers me, but these attacks are not the least bit cute! I've used it periodically (when I just couldn't give myself another shot) and it keeps the pain away if you use it about every 8 hours.
DHE is good, but like I said, it hurts (the nasal stuff tastes bad), so it's either the first or last resort.
