Ref your intro post: sounds like clusters to me. Last bout I had winter of 94/95 I went thru myriad tests to rule out any abnormalities. Probably most of us have. My tests were all negative (as are/were probably most of ours) - I'm sure YOUR'S WILL BE TOO! It's just a necessary thing we all need to do. And there is comfort in knowing that there is nothing seriously wrong causing these things. The flip side is that it leaves us frustrated that there is no explanation as to what IS causing this terrible pain. That's why we all come here! I know you feel bad for your wife and wish there was something you could do to make her feel less helpless. Well there is: 1) just love her (that's what WE'RE ALL gonna do), and 2) share her name and try to get her on this board (at her own pace - no pushing!)
I cannot answer your question "WHY ME?????" with any degree of confidence. I can, however, allude to two possible (maybe even viable) reasons why I think I've got the damn things: 1) I was meant to have a BIG FAMILY of friends to be there and love me (at times, until I can love myself again) and 2) It gives me the opportunity to help others afflicted find the same comfort ( especially those unfortunates that still do not know that they are part of US)- see Drummer's post: "Is this something that WE can do?"
