For the first 20 years that I fought this thing it came about once a year and lasted 4-6 weeks. When I turned 40, about the same age you are, it went to every other year but lasted 8-12 weeks. Go figure. Now my clusters are becoming less severe, shorter (5 weeks on the last one) and farther between (last remission 2-1/2 years).
