Hi Judi,
Have you ever tried acupressure? I read about it 10 or 15 years ago in a book about pain management. The author even knew the difference between cluster and migraine! It's simple and just a step beyond what most of us do anyway, apply pressure to the head. Here's the routine. Start at the hairline (or in my case, where the hairline used to be). About 1 inch from either side of an immaginary line going over your head and down the back of it, press as hard as you can with one finger on either side. Hold for 15 seconds. Then move back about 1 inch and repeat until you get to the base of your skull at the back of your neck. Then, starting at the top of your head, repeat the process moving sideways down in front of the ears to the lower jaw. I was able to completely abort some really bad CHs (9s & 10s & chronic) but the beast got wise after about 6 months and found away around it. But even 6 months of being able to kick the beast's butt is something. I went on O2 after that and it mostly works. I'm episodic now
and tried drowning the beast a week or so ago. Day one was mostly shadows, some bad 'nuff to worry about (3s to 5s), day two had an 8 to 9 and day three had some dinky shadows again. But I drank huge amounts of water.
Hope you get some relief, remission for all.
