Hi Phil

you were "OK" until your snide comments about wrong colored ties to join the club

no doubt everyone here sympathizes with you - no headache is any fun

BUT
what you apparently don't realize is that Cluster Headache is NOT a catch-all for having repetitive headaches;
CH is a VERY SPECIFIC disease, with very specific symtoms, and pain attacks that make the worst migraines in the world look like a stubbed toe

I'm sure we're all glad you found a solution to your headache problem, and don't mind you trying to share that relief in good intention
BUT - but next time people try to explain something to you, find out what the hell you're talking about before you get snotty -

I've seen these folks go out of their way to help many patients of other types of headaches find sources of help -
but you can bet that wise-ass attitude of yours isn't gonna earn you the same consideration

why are we so touchy ?
one of the biggest problems in HAVING CH is that we get blown-off by people who hear the word "headache" and figure we're complaining about what they get after a tough day of work,
and that includes, unfortunately, a lot of MDs

BTW -
sounds like you have gout related headache -
I have a friend with much the same problem -
his best strategies for THAT problem:
stay physically active
lose weight
quit drinking
