We needed this. DJ, you're exactly right. We need a place to interact a little. I've been twenty two years trying to explain clusters to people, doctors included.
Motivated by a real "killer" in Feb., I started looking on the web. Until that time, I had met one person who had been diagnosed as cluster and knew a girlfriend of another.
Doctors aren't much better. Neurologists aside, GP's are probably lucky if they see three of us in a career.
The only problem with Neuros is they want to throw drugs at everything. I'll bet we've all got a pretty long meds list of the "latest" things we've tried. I guess we're fortunate that they don't send us to surgeons; otherwise we'd all end up flying over the cukcoo's nest.
As a group, we've got a pretty good advantage over migainuers in that the definition of a cluster is pretty tight as far as symptoms.
As a result, we stand to benefit from communication between ourselves more than most people with severe headache.
Keep in touch and do good work.
Remember, it won't kill you. You just sometimes wish it would.
