WOW
tried exactly the same thing
handheld massager (has a slighlty concave round disc about 4" diameter that is the contact)
in slight-moderate attacks, it seemed to help if I set it on high and held it REAL hard against the attack area
I believe the effect is NOT any beneficial action, rather that the massager itself creates a distracting insult to the nerve cluster and "preempts" to some extent the attack transmission/sensation - - sorta static radar interference, as an analogy
PROBLEM- not as bad as Phil's, but all of a sudden I started getting bruising & some very unsettling localized pain spasms that had nothing to do with CH
back to the drawing board
I still say that NOTHING that results in permanent injury is a good trade for CH relief, but that's my opinion
luck all, gg
