Yes, get a second opinion. You didn't say what the child was doing while having the headache. Did they do an MRI? That needs to be done to rule out other things.
Why kind of med did they give her?
We had someone here not long ago that began these at 11 years old. On 48 hours they had a boy (diagnosed with migraines) of 11-12 (can't remember) that showed all the signs of clusters.
If you don't like the doctor or think he's wrong for goodness sakes get another opinion.
