another recent round of stories why we do NOT want to go to "the ER"
my experience the same, 8-9 years ago - got thrown out, accused of scamming drugs, etc - I went in because I was having a series of 10s, and didn't trust my life in my own hands out in the woods where I live -
could I just stay there until they pased?
No Way ! -
my suggestion, be prepared for the inevitable 10 attack, BEFORE it happens-
buy beg, borrow or steal the meds you need & keep 'em stashed,
at the first twinge of a cluster, round up the O2 bottles, all your scrips, etc, so you're ready
I'd be astounded if I get a bout before midFall, but everything is in the med cabinet ready to go,
I've paid dearly before for letting the scrips slip, running out & not refilling because I was better, etc
NOT a good thing to do
and yes Marji, I'm in remission, thanks for asking
and having a MARVELOUS spring -
proving to myself the basis of the faith I use to help combat the CH when it's on me -
1. it WILL get better
2. life is BEAUTIFUL in between the bouts
3. there are MANY MANY worse things
(right now a very close friend is going through heart-breaking problems with his teenage daughter, and I promise you I would NOT trade my CH attacks for what he's feeling)
hang in there gang
these things CAN be dealt with
and there is NO excuse any more for ignorant, arrogant doctors - not with the info developed just in the last couple years - see accompanying post
