I have a question regarding Verapamil. I'm experiencing
something that I hope is not a side effect, because the
Verapamil has been working so well.
About 5 weeks ago, I had a bad illness--sore throat, the
worst cough I'd ever had in my life, and complete
fatigue. I couldn't get out of bed for several days. I
had no fever. I finally started feeling better, actually
cooked a meal, and got sick all over again. The major
component of what I felt was fatigue.
Now 5 weeks later, I'm having episodes of extreme fatigue.
If I try to do anything, like even take a short walk,
I'll often start feeling almost ill, and will then often
have a deep fatigue for days. I've been under a lot of
stress because of the clusters going chronic (though no
pain because of the Verapamil). My sleep has been real
erratic. I'm wondering if my immune system has just
gone south and I can't throw the illness, or if my symptoms
could have anything to do with the Verapamil. I also
went to my internist, who did tests for mono and a few
other things. The tests came up negative.
This is getting mighty depressing. I've always been
real healthy.
Has anyone experienced this with Verapamil? Or with this
kind of illness holding on for so long?
