I know exactly how you feel Hub. Don't know if you know my story or not, but I'm going through a divorce at the moment. My wife and I NEVER fought and I thought we were happier than we had been in years. Turns out, she had another man (one of what I thought was my good friends). I found out via email when I was 8,000 miles away from home.
Anyway.....
Nowadays, what I do when people say "Hi, how are ya", my response is "shitty, but thanks for asking". Or, "I'm one day closer to being happy again" (that one really gets their attention). How about a combination of the two for clusters? "In the worst pain of my life at the moment, but I'll be ok in a little while. Thanks for asking"????
