A comment on this side-remark. I've had CH for 33 years (since age 18). I've noticed over the years that both the length of the cycles and the length of the remission periods have increased. When they started, I'd get 3 weeks of headaches every 6 months. Then it went to 6 weeks once a year. The last cycle lasted 7 months, followed by a five year remission. I'm not looking forwards to finding out how long my current cycle will last!
I've heard speculation that they finally stop when your arteries lose their muscle tone, around age 60-65, but I noticed one person in the sign-ins who was still having CH in his 70's. (Sigh...)
