Greg, I have been a chronic ch'er for over three years. They have never let up. The Ergotamine according to my doc is called a beta blocker and does not work well with Imitrex at all. They sort of cancel each other out. Right now I am taking a smll dose of sansert twice a day along with a drug called nerontin. This is working well. I have not heard anyone refernce this drug so I assume not to many are taking it. A ch breaks through every so often but they are bareable these days. I've tried everything you can think of other then surgery and so far this Nerontin is GREAT. It is not addicting and has only small side effects. As far as living a normal life with these things I think anyone will tell you easy its not but you cant give in to them. I wish I had a better answer for the sleep problem but have not found one myself. Hope this helps.
Heres to sleep and a pain free life.
