If what Doc Greg said doesn't help (and it all sounded really good), you might try Perdiem Fiber. The one in the brown bottle, which is not a laxative, yellow bottle.
The fiber one will not cause cramping!!! It helped me alot. I put the amt that I need in a small glass, no water or juice, and use a teaspoon to take the dose I need. I took a little at a time till I had it all down. It doesn't have a taste but it's tiny little beads. Good luck to you and Dan. Where do you live?
