I also had constipation problems, my mother told me to eat large amounts of plums, fresh or dried. It works! (I'm 41 bit still listen to mummy).
I eat 4 to 5 dried plums in the morning, take some to work and nibble them in between meals. In the evening I eat 2, to 3 fresh plums if I can get any, if not then the dried ones.
Very simple, but it DOES work.
