I was in a car accident when I was 17 years old, and had a head injury. I work up the next day with an unbelieveable headache, however the doctors were not concerned with it as I had no feeling in both arms. The headche continued daily for nearly a year, then disappeared only to show up three years later. This was the pattern for many years.
Four years ago I had my headaches aagain and a doctor finally told me I suffer from migraines and clusters.
I take imitrex for my migraines, and it works.
However my clusters are a whole different ballgame. I have been on zomig,depakote,amerge,prednisone,o2,mysoline. I am now taking calan & ergomar. They are not working. Any suggestions. I have about six attacks daily lasting an hour-two hours, I am unable to sleep. When it gets really unbearable such as three days with a littl sleep, I go to the hospital and they shot me up with demeraol so I can get some rest.Any suggestion?
