HI Group! Found out almost 3 weeks ago that I have Cancer of the Uterus, but had a cold and cough so we had to wait all this time for the surgery.
I'm not a good candidate for surgery, smoker, high blood pressure and one of the meds I'm on, Indomethacin, makes you bleed easy and they don't want to wait the 4 mos till it would be out of my system, so they are keeping me on it. I had heard they are short of blood here cuz of the tornado but I'm sure they will find some.
It might be a long surgery cuz I have scar tissue from other surgery and he will have to go slow and make sure no organs have attached to the scar tissue that would have to be repaired too.
I've been so nervous having to wait so long. He thinks the cancer is in a early stage but will know more when they go in and see how much it might have spread. We will know in a few days more after they send it to the lab and what other treatment I might need, if any.
After midnight tonight...NO SMOKING...for at least 4 days while in the hospital, boohoo! How in the world am I going to do that? when in pain or nervous and strange place I'd smoke more! They are going to give me a patch...yeah right...that will help alot?
Prayers for me please. I hope no one minds that I put this on here but I've felt a family member since the board started.
Surgery is 8am Thurday.
Hubby will probably post sometime in the next few days on how I am.
I can't tell you how scared I've been! My cycle didn't come this Spring and I've been worried it would start up, but no pain just swelling and tightness and pressure.
Give a big drag on cig for me and blow it MY WAY!
