Elaine,
Yesterday in chat you asked about being afraid. I went for years not knowing what was wrong, what was causing this terrible pain. In the 60's I'd mention the really nasty HAs to a doc and get "the look". Some said aspirin, etc. All of the usual ineffictive stuff. Friends tried to be helpful. Some blamed it on alcohol so I quit drinking. Still did the CH march. Some said tobacco so I quit smoking. March march march. Some suggested sex, wellll ya gotta draw the line somewhere. It was in the early 80's when I finally found a neuro that had heard of CH. I had been reading the National Headache Foundation's news letter and there were often articles on CH. I mentioned the O2 treatment to my new neuro and though he had never heard of it, thought it was worth a try. What a blessing. The O2 still works and I finally had a handle on what was going on in my head. The fear of the unknown was gone. I just wish there was a great support group like this 30 years ago. I love you all.
Good luck Wednesday. Remission for all.
