Nancy, loved the lawyer humor. I recently retired after 30 plus years in the legal field. The Judge I was working for was conducting jury selection. A prospective juror said that he was awaiting trial for spousal abuse. The Judge excused him. After he left the courtroom, the next juror stood up and said, "Judge, if I promise to go home and beat my wife, may I be excused? The courtroom erupted in laughter. P.S. He became a juror and we could hear laughter from his fellow jurors whenever they were in the jury room.
