I think that if we do this convention, it should be for one thing only...ourselves. If the press notices, great. If we get some funding, great. But we should not set ourselves up for disappointment expecting some large media coverage and for all this research to start up.
We should just be there for each other. I would love to put some faces to names, shake a few hands, give a few hugs. I think it would be wonderful for many of us to see, yes, there are others like me out there.
We should go to make ourselves feel better, support each other, and hopefully have a wonderful time. Should be more than enough reason for a convention, don't you think?
