BD etal,
Unfortunately, the pups were so incredibly ugly that my vet had them shipped to an isolated unamed ranch in Nevada where they could live their life unmolested. They have not kept in touch so neither I nor "dad" (who, sorry to say is no longer with us (natural causes)) have had any contact. Sorry. I found out who "dad" was on an another night while out doing the CH stomp. There was one house, fenced in with range fencing, where there lived a ferocious rotty. He lived in the garage and his owners kept the garage door open enough for him to come and go. I learned his name was Griz. Each night, as I stumbled down the road trying to keep my eye from falling out and cursing the pain, Griz would come charging from the garage at mach speed, snarling, biting and jumping at the fence. He was one of the reasons I started "packing heat". Well, one night, as I was passing this place, the owners were at the gate saying goodnight to their guests. I was maybe fifty feet away when Griz hit afterburner and and shot out of the gate and ran towards me. His owners were screaming "Griz, stop". My brain was screaming "get the safety off the gun". The adrennalin was pumping... And good old Griz stopped at my side, took my hand gently in his mouth and led me down the road. Maybe he wanted to know if I'd heard from the kids? It was a sad night when I passed his home and the garage door was closed. I had come to enjoy? the snarling company on my painful treks around the neighborhood.
Good luck and remission to all.
Kip
