Do you have a sissy bar? was there someone riding behind you? what back/neck support do you have when you're on your cycle? i notice when i'm on my riceburner that holding my head forward against the wind makes my neck sore after about 30-40 minutes. do you notice anything like that?
notice Lee's copy of Doc Greg's prednisone/steroid data (below). esp. the questions posed about inflamation; i believe it's a cervical nerve that's inflamed. the steroids prevent inflamation and allows the inflamed (aka swelled) nerve to deflate and slip back into it's correct position. while it's swelled, it won't go back where it belongs (like an inflated a baloon that won't go thru a hole until it's deflated), and when it's out of position it's pressured by surrounding muscle or vertibrae and that pressure inflames it - a self-sustaining problem (inflamation->swelling->pressure->inflamation). might the cycle ride have popped that nerve out of place?
