I did not realize you had so severely flamed me on this forum Nancy!
Not a problem though, I do see similarities in our poems. I like them
both very much. Below is mine again, which also may be found on the MGH
poetry listing at http://www.ama-assn.org/special/migraine/newsline/reuters/04095514.htm
My poem is dated 03/93!!! Sorry, I just had to retort! I hope your headaches
stay in remission - also God's healing for your other ailments.
Bless you, Rich Perrine Jr.
THE HEADACHE
I am fine and then it's here,
agonizing pain inside of there.
This headache that I get arrives out of nowhere.
It makes me scream and pull my hair. Oftentimes I think, "Not fair!"
Though it arrives many times weekly, it does cause me to think meekly.
It helps me to see that there is more pain,
than I will ever have - inside my brain. Yet, it cones again and again.
Next time will I cry in distress, loving life less and less?
Or will I sit at the shower drain, holding my head as if insane?
Rocking and moaning seem to appease.
I sometimes feel better while bowed down on my knees.
When the hour is over and the tear has left my eye,
I am usually grateful, still wondering "WHY?"
