Sorry for omission. Controlled experiments and clinical trials? I have not seen them for anything. Diamond Headache touted their histamine treatments, but I have read postings of people saying it is worthless. Gamma knife is touted as a surgical option, but I have read posts of people saying it failed or was only temporarily successful. I have read of abnormal hypothalmus and serotonin links, but have also seen serotonin reuptake inhibitors and other serotonin-related treatments fail. All I truly know is that the headaches get worse, the meds cost more, and the pain is robbing me of a chance to fully enjoy my family and life. Like so many others (I imagine), I take a certain pride in my ability to endure the pain, but it really pisses me off. Like so many, many medications have failed me and I am grasping at straws while trying to make sense of the whole #&%@?* thing. Hope and trying to reason keep me going (sane). Thanks for your input.

Like I said, the hormonal component is appealing, but I am not rushing out to buy testosterone patches just yet.
