Thanks to everyone for their replies. I have yet to find someone who has been unconscious in an episode (called 911 and rushed to hospital for those who didn't see the first installment), so I am hopeful that the next round of tests will produce an answer. I'm sure it is tied to the headache because it happened when he was peaking, but was just so different from his usual reactions.
He's had CAT scans and MRIs when he was first diagnosed, but that was about 3 years ago. He also went to the eye doctor a few weeks ago, and they suspected glaucoma (false alarm) because the pressure was increased in one eye and this was NOT during a cluster. The latest EEG is next week...
Tim has been checking out this site, and learned quite a few tricks. He only missed 2 questions on the quiz, so I suppose the cluster headaches diagnosis is at least partly correct.
Thanks again, and I am sure I will be a regular on this board from now on ;-)
